Kevin and Toni Walter had been visiting different steakhouses throughout the Midwest for most of the 1980's looking for a combination of flavors and styles that might work in a small community. In 1988, the thought of a steakhouse in south central Iowa started to take shape. It took two years to find the current location for this restaurant and on Feburary 14th 1990, Bogie's SteakHouse in Albia, Iowa was born.
Kevin and Toni pride themselves with providing you with the absolute best beef, pork, chicken and fish that money can buy and service that is second to none. Each steak is purchased, hand cut and prepared by Kevin over real charcoal on our huge grill that is in the main dining area. Toni will greet you when you arrive and will make sure that you are treated with the service that you expect.
Albia, Iowa is right in the heart of some of the best hunting and fishing that you will find anywhere, and because of this Bogie's has been a regular stop for area visitors that come here from all over this great country of ours. From turkey hunters in the spring, fisherman throughout the summer to the deer hunter in the fall and winter, they make Bogie's their choice for a great steak and stories to share. Our business hours are Wednesday- Thursday- Friday- Saturday opening at 5pm until close.
We are available Monday and Tuesday for private dinners with a minimum of 35 dinners.
We operate on a "first come first serve" basis and will accept reservations only for 15 people or more.
